Our mission for children’s ministries is to Help Children Find and Follow Jesus. We pursue this by providing a Christ-centered environment where children learn the story of redemption, the gospel message of Jesus Christ. We use the Gospel Project curriculum for children aged 2 through 5th grade which provides:
A chronological study plan of the Bible, Genesis thru Revelation
Christ-centered study – all scripture gives testimony to Jesus
Age alignment – All ages learn the same lessons
Missional focus to respond to God
All volunteers working with children at Journey have passed a background screening. Teachers and helpers alike are trained in safety procedures. We take special care to accommodate food-related allergies or restrictions. Children birth through 5th grade follow check-in procedures which are established with safety in mind.

Children’s Ministries Classroom Configurations
During our Sunday morning services we offer age-appropriate Sunday school classes: Nursery (Infants and One Year Olds), Toddlers (Two Years through Pre-K), K – 3rd Grade, and 4th & 5th Grade.
Infants through 5th Grade
Exploration of God’s love and the Bible is at the center of every age group we serve. From the early beginnings of infancy we sing songs and read books that talk about Jesus and the Bible. Once children enter preschool there is a short lesson that includes a craft along with guided free playtime. Upon entering the elementary program our scope and sequence concentrates on the Old Testament stories, the attributes of God, the life of Jesus and what the Christian life looks like.
