Connecting through Community
At Journey we recognize that ministry takes place in the context of relationships. Journey is a church built on a foundation of communities, or gatherings of groups, which comprise the church as a whole. These environments provide opportunities to learn and grow in Jesus through relationship with God and others, learning and growing together, sharing Christ’s love with others through friendship and service.
The Journey Pantry
For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you have Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in, I needed clothes and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-36
The Journey Pantry provides emergency food and personal hygiene items for those in need within our church family and, in time, to our local community. We will have donation bins out the first Sunday of every the month to help stock the pantry. If you would like to partner with us please email Adrian@journeycc.org for more information.
Beyond our Sunday morning services, each week people at Journey gather together in smaller groups, which we title, ‘Community Groups,’ to share life together and grow in our relationship with Jesus and one another. Our groups come in all shapes and sizes, age groups and demographics.
To sign up for a group, email Ellen@journeycc.org.
At Journey we approach ministry as a team. We have numerous opportunities for people to combine their talents and gifts with meaningful service. Joining a ministry team is also a great way to connect with others with similar interests, talents and skills. Whether serving once a quarter, once a month or every Sunday, we have a place for you. To find out more about community groups or ministry opportunities at Journey, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll help you get plugged in.
