OUR MISSION

Help people find and follow Jesus.

OUR VALUES

CHOOSE JESUS
We believe church should be a place where the Gospel of salvation is shared, and people commit their lives to the Lordship of Christ. We want to create opportunities and space for people to make new commitments to God. (Romans 10:13-14, 1 John 2:2)

CHOOSE JOY
We believe the Gospel is Good News – that it provides a life of true joy! So we passionately express our joy when we gather. You may encounter expressions of varying church backgrounds and cultures, yet we are all family. The Bible describes the church in unified terms as a flock, temple, body, and household of God (Acts 20, Ephesians 2, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Timothy 3). We celebrate our diverse backgrounds and unite under the moniker of God’s redeemed community. “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the LORD!’” (Psalm 122:1)

CHOOSE WORSHIP
We believe church is a place where people experience God’s presence through
  • Teaching the Gospel, which is both Grace and truth (John 1:17)
  • The inner essence of true worship is a valuing of God above all things – Romans 12:1. The outer essence of worship expresses itself in many ways: through song, music, arts, cheerful giving, tithing, observing communion, unity in the body, faith filled prayers, proclamation of the word etc. We love King David’s definition: Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together! (Psalm 34:3). Worship is the act of magnifying God. Enlarging our vision of Him. We serve an awesome God and therefore desire to have a big view of God! We may have big problems, big worries and big questions; BUT we have a bigger God, and we Magnify HIM! (John 4:23-23, Ephesians 3:14-21, John 1:17)

CHOOSE TRUTH
We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. We believe church should be a place where people learn how the Bible applies to their daily lives.
We are in glad submission to Christ and His word. What that means is that we’re going to sit under the weight of the Word of God. And when it comes to cultural issues, or when it comes to the instructions He has for the church, we’re going to just simply submit to what the Bible says. We’re going to read it as it’s written and then go from there.
We need to know, understand and apply these truths for them to set us free. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
(Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Timothy 3:16-17, Philippians 3:12-14)
